The renowned social networking site now has a brand new shopping feature: users can now look for product links directly on the app.
This app allows businesses and influencers to mark their posts with links to purchase featured items and to encourage users to click, buy, or save for later.
The reels having the product link will show a “View Product” option. People can click on this tag and can explore the product, buy or even save it for another time. Also, there is an option of adding a “Branded Content” for creators to make it look more clear and to differentiate between paid and genuine recommendations.
“We don’t take these changes lightly – we haven’t updated Instagram’s home screen in a big way for quite a while,” mentioned Instagram representative while announcing about the shop from reel option.
This feature is a very significant revenue source for Instagram’s parent company Facebook. Since Instagram has always been an aesthetically pleasing social networking site, the buying impulse kicks in with the doubled amount among customers and even random app users.
